"Pretty good"

Hey there,
I really enjoyed this game, the graphics were quite simple but they fitted together pretty good, I can't say anything about sound/music because I muted it right away (Not because of the quality, I mute them in every flash game).

The concept worked pretty well, but it was in my opinion a bit too easy most of the time (except for the fourth and last boss, they were pretty tough). I only needed two lives to complete the whole game, having full shield/hull most of the time, so I would suggest that you increase the damage that the player takes.

The game was pretty long, in fact it was a bit too long here and there - referring to the highscoretable I'm the only one that completed it right now, so I guess most of the players will quit before the end.

All in all I really liked this game, I especially loved the slippy controls - I don't know why but I kept sliding left/right the whole time because I liked the feel of it.

Keep up the good work,
Dragondust

Creative game idea and a cute story, but there's a flaw with the Point Multiplifier - its to easy to raise him really high by clicking on single planets, I would suggest that you need at least three planets in your combo to raise the multiplifier. With that technique its a bit too easy to score big numbers.
Apart from that - there are only three levels, I would have loved if you had visualised the flow of the music in such a music-driven game.
Apart from that: Carry on, would love to play an improved sequel ;-)

A really great game - the Graphics are really cool, the Boss levels are funny and the whole System is intuitive. The only minus is the sound, I mutet it really quickly, but maybe that is just my opinion. You could maybe try to browse the Audio Portal for some Pirate-themed songs ;)
It's not only a remade "BeJeweled" - the Tools and the artifacts really mixed the whole gameplay and made it highly enjoyable.
All in all Front-Page-material, in my opinion - really good!
Best regards,

Valentine Hugfest 08

"Lovely minigame"

date: February 14, 2008

Hey Jindo,

your game is a neat, little game - nothing too big or creative, but at least it's a funny little minigame. The graphics are lovely, but the combos are in my opinion a bit too hard to be reached.

Apart from that it is a beautiful Valentines-Day-Present, thank you ;)

Best regards,

Prehistoric Crunch

"Quite good"

Heya,

the game is not too bad or too good, but there are a few points that I would suggest to improve:
At first, the background is a bit missleading, because I thought in the first minute that I'm not allowed to pass the brown line in the middle of the screen - it looked a bit like a cave ;)
The second thing is, that it is quite hard to control the little, well animated guy, because there is nearly no option to influence his way of swinging and falling around - adding some further controls would really improve the gaming experience.

Best regards,

"Touching"

Hey einstei,

congratulations for your really great movie. Sure, the animations were pretty rough, but in my opinion they are exactly the way they should be.
It's supporting the storyline, the emotions and the atmosphere - alltogether it is really cute and quite moving,

best regards,

Kingdom of Machines

"Impressive Graphics&Sound"

date: November 19, 2007

Heya,

At first - The graphics and the sound were pretty, pretty good (only the missing soundtrack was a bit .. boring).

But, hey, the beginning of the storyline was really ... funny - i mean it was like "Hey there, you just oversleeped the destruction of your whole village, but now - kill the guy that did it, little child!"

To be honest I haven't finished the game, i just killed the first of the four lieutnants.

For the future i would suggest to insert the possibility to walk diagonal, adding a soundtrack and maybe remove around 80% of the very clichéd beginning.

The Story Of Phil

"Decent"

Hey there Slintas,

The good point of this movie is the voice acting for sure - The quality was pretty good, the graphics weren't, but it's mentioned often enough that this was intended.

The humor ... well ... honestly it's not my style of humor but i commit that there are for sure a lot of people that would like it.

Whats more to say?

For me, the funniest part of this movie was to read through all the reviews that has been posted ;)

"Different but still good"

Hey there,

In my opinion the way to control the character was a bit awkward, but I suppose that this is only my personal opinion (because I like clear, precise controls ;) )
But apart from that I really liked the game as far as i played (it wasn't that far anyway because of the controls) because the Atmosphere and the animations are pretty good.

All in all - keep it up! I would really like to see more games from you, maybe with clearer Controls without that acceleration-thingy

Raptek Arena Reloaded

"Pretty good"

date: November 17, 2007

Hey there,

At first - honestly, this game was way too hard for me, I was hardly able to pass the first level, but after that I died.

But nonetheless this game is above the decent level for sure - Pretty good animations combined with a intuitive way of controlling the own character(even when i wasn't able to enjoy it longer than 1 1/2 levels ^^),

I also liked the way of the special attacks, and they worked without any problems for me.

I would suggest to make the Battles a bit more skilldependant i.E. you could add a system that regulates the Power of the next swing/shoot/cast compared to the time that you kept the Mouse button clicked before releasing it.

November 17, 2007

Author's Response:

Hi there, and thanks for the positive critics.
You are not the first to ask a way to charge the attacks, but it is a bit too hard to implement at this stage of development.
Surely I'll think of it in the sequel. Because of course there will be one... if this one goes well! So keep voting and I'll work hard on it :)
